gen2apps ("we", "us") builds focused apps for iOS and the web. We design every app to be privacy-respecting: no ads, no third-party advertising trackers, and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we collect and why. It applies to KeepUp and our other apps and to this website.
Habits, completions, notes, moods, reminders and settings you enter are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. If you enable iCloud sync, this data is synchronized through your private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) so it appears on your other devices. We have no access to it.
If you link a habit to Apple Health, the app reads the specific metric you choose (for example steps, exercise minutes, mindful minutes, active energy or sleep) to automatically mark that habit complete. This reading happens entirely on your device. We do not transmit, store, or share your health data, and we never use it for advertising.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate and manage subscription status. This involves an app-generated identifier and your purchase/subscription state — not your name, email, or payment details (Apple handles payment). See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
To understand which features and purchase screens are useful, we record anonymized events when an in-app purchase screen is shown or a subscription starts. These events include an app-generated identifier and basic device info (OS version, device model, app version). They are stored in our own analytics backend (Google Firebase) and are used only to improve the app. We do not use this for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy as our apps evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
